Repeatedly shaken by severe economic and social crisis，the French society has seen a rise of various social thoughts that reflect the emotions and voices of the French people，and alter the French political landscape in a profound way. Mainstream conservatism has lost its appeal among the public，and various extremist and radical thoughts have emerged. One of the prominent trends in the aftermath of the 2012 French presidential election is the continued expansion of the ultra-Right forces，coupled by a comeback of the Left-wing thoughts that regained support from the public. The main manifestations are as follows：the return to power after 17 years by the biggest Left-wing party，the Socialist Party；the unexpected rise of the radical Left-wing forces；the attempts by the traditional Left-wing force，the French Communist Party，to bottom out，and the “anti-globalization” movement that is sweeping across the society.
