A nearly month long conflict between government forces and Kokong ethnic fighters in Myanmar erupted in August，2009，which attracted the great intention of international society and China in particular. What caused the conflict？How it send shock waves to the process of national reconciliation？To what degree it affected Myanmar’s political situation？What implications it had for China-Myanmar relation. This paper explores these issues through detailed political，historical and societal analysis of the conflict.
