The research group investigated the information of rural families in seven districts and county-level municipalities which has administrative village in Guangzhou in September 2010. The investigation shows that the rural families made certain progress in the information construction，rural families’ ownership rate of the computers and internet-surfing percentage was improved in comparison with 2009，however，due to the restriction of relatively low income and comparatively poor literacy of rural residents，a great gap still exists between them and the urban residents.
