The school bus safety is very important in the link of education safety，involving in the personal safety of the student group.However，in many areas of our country，school bus accident occurs frequently.It has bad influence on students’ physical and mental health and it also makes the public distrust to our education safety increase.According to the incomplete statistics，the number of school bus safety accidents that reported by the media and caused great attention has reached 25 in 2011 without those ignored by the mass media.Since the Gansu Zhengning school bus accident，Jiangsu Feng County school bus accident，Yunnan carriage school bus accident and a series of accidents happened，a unprecedented nationwide public opinion boom of the school bus safety problems has begun after these accidents being exposed through the media.This article selected several typical school bus accident cases as samples，it concludes that the school bus accident occurs in kindergarten and primary school，school bus accident are relatively less in middle school and above school age stage.As the region，the number of school bus accident is higher in the eastern region than the number in the central and western regions.The type of the accident includes demolition，tipping and so on.Most of the accidents were reported by news website.During the accident processing，the relevant departments have some main problems，such as lacking the abilities of releasing information，the improper rehabilitation handling，the explanation of the accidents is not clear.In terms of these existing problems，this paper puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies，and comes up with some suggestions for how to reduce school bus accident in our country.
