From the perspective of social risks，the study on risk communication has become a distinguished learning. Comparing researches of history and recent advance，it analyzed and summarized the issues of domestic and foreign studies on risk communication. The issues of foreign focus on the theoretical exploration and practical standard and the disseminator research and audience research，while the issues of domestics studies consist of the propagation mechanism research，the public cognitive research，the government emergency management research，different areas of application research and overseas related translation research. Both the research standpoint and method have transferred from single subject to multiple disciplines. Compared with foreign researches，the domestic studies started rather late and developed slowly.
