In 2012，Tianjin （municipal districts） ranked the 21st in the increase of the total cultural and educational consumption among various key cities and the 18th in the growth of per capita value. The rankings of the status evaluation are as follows：in the lateral evaluation among key cities，Tianjin ranked the 24th；in vertical evaluation itself，Tianjin ranked the 8th，6th and 1st during the periods of 2005-2012，2010-2012 and 2011-2012 respectively.
