Poverty alleviation and development is “the first livelihood project” in Guizhou，which is an important strategic task in the historical process of building a well-off society in an all-round way synchronously with the national. And anti-poverty task is especially difficult in Guizhou ethnic minority village. This research lists the main problems existing in the anti-poverty cultural tourism by analyzing the main methods and results of cultural tourism for poverty alleviation in Yaoshan Township. To promote poverty alleviation and development in Yaoshan Township through cultural tourism，it should adhere to the people-oriented and all the farmers universally benefited；demonstrate the features of culture based on original cultural resources；follow the basic principles such as government leading with market operation，both development and protection considered，and sustainable development，and focus on implementation of innovation strategy，open-up driving strategy and cultural strengthening tourism strategy.
