This paper first reviews the housing market in the recent past years，with particular focus on the measures taken by the Macau Government to curb the frenetic upsurge of housing prices that has become a major complaint from the its residents. I then attempt to analyse the pros and cons of various government policies that have been or will be implemented. Based on the new population policy of the Macau Special Administrative Region，I will also analyse the housing market situation that Macau would possibly face in the near future，and then provide some suggestions that the Government should consider and could possibly help to ease the unsettlement of the Macau residents related to housing issues.
