The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council （GCC） is among the most important regional organizations in the Arab world and even in the Middle East. Its member states are cooperating ever more closely in the political，economic，cultural and security fields. Since its inception，the GCC has been actively promoting the integration process and pursuing a new model suitable for the development of the Middle East. Economic integration is constantly an important topic of the GCC. This article aims to analyze the GCC economic integration process from the perspective of the respective characteristics of Gulf states，covering a systematic review and summary of the origin of GCC economic integration，its development and achievements in economic integration. Its future prospects are also briefly explored.
