In 2013，there was a steady growth trend in the diplomatic relations between Russia and the Arab countries，which was manifested in more frequent high-level visits，and the continued advance in political，economic，military and cultural cooperation. The Syria Crisis is a major issue in both the Arab world as well as the entire globe，in which Russia was closely and deeply involved. This paper reviews the major events between Russia and the Arab countries in 2013，laying focus on the Syria Crisis and Russian-US diplomatic confrontations.Finally，the paper looks into the opportunities and challenges for the strategic development of Russia’s diplomatic relations.
