With the development of the modern world，women’s status has undergone enormous changes. In the Arab countries，women have also seen greater changes than ever before in education，employment，political participation，and married life. They are now enjoying an improving literacy rate and education level. With the growth in employment，their socio-economic status has improved. The proportion of women participating in political affairs is gradually increasing as well. There are also improvements in their marital and family status. Nonetheless，there remain many problems for Arab women in the development process，and their status needs to be further improved.
