In 2013，Haiti faced considerable political instability，which resulted in postponement of the congress election and the municipal election. It had a stable macro-economy，but risks remained to be resolved. Public security gained a remarkable improvement，but it is still a major concern among people. It is proved that the assistance from MINUSTAH is a key factor for Haiti to maintain social stability. Its relations with the Dominican Republic strained due to economic disputes and immigrant issues.
