This article starts from the drop of population with appropriate age for College Entrance Examination and stable increase of recruitment of universities. Then，it analyzes the drop of recruitment of higher vocational education year by year. In the aspect of data collection，the recruitment of higher vocational education of more than half provinces and cities shows a trend of declining，and the private drops more than the public. Meanwhile，in the field of higher vocational education，majors of finance，electronic information and cultural education have high rate of repeating settings. And students with management，art and literature majors have difficulties in job-hunting. It is recommended to adjust training objectives and disciplines structure，encourage combination of demand of marketing and employment，gradually implement“registration enrollment”system，and deal with the problem of student resources in the development of higher vocational education.
