There are all together four museums in Guangzhou：Guangzhou Folk Museum，Xiguan Folk Museum and Folk Culture Museum of Baiyun District and Bingjiang Floating Population Museum. Compared to other famous cultural cities around the world，this is far from enough if Guangzhou were to build a World Famous Cultural City. Therefore it is facing an urgent task of accelerating the development of folk museums. This report studies the development features，draw on overseas experiences，explains existing problems and proposes future strategies of the folk museums in Guangzhou.
