Economic development of ecological new town must be eco-friendly adjusted because of its ecological barrier function . Miyun new town industrial structure level is low，industry type does not match the requirement of its ecological function.The fundamental reason is that the small size of new town and the low social capacity caused by low level of infrastructure and public services make difficulty to attract the high-end eco-friendly industries settled in new town. Therefore，it is recommended to promote a comprehensive transformation development of the eco-town from the three aspects of prominent ecological characteristics，improving social capacity and developing eco-friendly industries.
