A questionnaire was conducted in Haidian，Changping and Chaoyang District. And one street was selected from each district，namely Shangdi，Huilongguan，and Wangjie Street respectively. The method of random sampling was used in the survey and the community residents were interviewed on the street. The questionnaire consisted of two parts：basic information and rubbish classifying awareness of the respondents. Statistical analysis，cross-correlation analysis，and Chi-square test were conducted by SPSS. General proposals were put forward through the analysis results：firstly，strengthen education and propaganda of garbage classifying and recycling;secondly，provide convenient and practical classification and collection facilities;thirdly，improve the supervision mechanism of rubbish classifying and recycling.
