Through tracing the origins of the principle of dual supervision，the author made a full comment on the historical achievements of the system and its drawbacks in the current context. In accordance with the strategic plan of the central committee of CPC，the author put forth some tentative ideas on the reform of the dual supervision system and provided a “road map”.
