In 2011, the most obvious characteristic of international organizations was that they underwent great reforms to adapt to the profoundly changing international environment. Since the outbreak of the international financial crisis, the traditional global economic and financial organizations in which the developed countries were dominant have not been able to deal with the rapidly changing economic environment.Thus, it is imperative to raise the voice of the emerging economies in these organizations. As to international security, international organizations also need to make changes to manage the intricate security situations. In this article, the authors analyze the roles that the IMF, G-type, BRICS, and some regional organizations play on the international stage and forecast their future development and reform.
