The relationship between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the political parties in Africa is an important component of the Sino-African political relationship. It has played a significant role in the initiation and development of the traditional friendship between China and Africa. The new century has witnessed rapid development of relationship between the CPC and African political parties, marked by expanding areas of interaction, more frequent high-level exchanges and ever-deepening discussions on governance. There has been constant progress in promoting pragmatic cooperation between China and Africa through party channels. The CPC is also working together with African political parties in the preliminary exploration of multi-lateral exchanges among political parties. As party exchanges between China and Africa move forward, they are poised to make even greater contribution to the deepening of the New Type of China-Africa Strategic Partnership.
