They are mostly around the fields of: African politics, economy and international relations, social and cultural issues and so on. Among such fields, political development in Africa, issues of poverty and agriculture and China-Africa relations were paid close attention to by the scholars; The upheaval in North Africa, presidential election in Sudan, the independence of South Sudan and the participation of South Africa in the "BRICS" also became the hotspots of the academics; Some research areas which had been relatively weak were strengthened, such as service sectors of the African economies, social and cultural issues of Africa, etc.. <<
