>Since the implementation of radical reform on employment system of SOE in 1998，there have been massive laid-off and unemployed workers.The urban unemployment rate has increased and the labor force participation rate has decreased.Meanwhile，the total employment has been increasing.During the most recent years，urban unemployment rate has had some fluctuations，but it has been under control.The social security has improved a lot.From the above，we can conclude that China’s employment situation is becoming better and better.This chapter describes the increase of total employment，changes of unemployment situation and the improvement of social security.
