With entering the second decade of the twenty-first century, Central Asian countries have reached the 20 years history of independence, and also have entered a new period of political power changes. Five countries of Central Asia began to re-examine the adaptability of the democracy for their own national conditions, and are committed to president regime reform and fine-tuning. Under the background of revolutionary change in North Africa and the competition between Russia and the United States for supremacy in Central Asia, the political reforms in Central Asian countries showed a certain degree of synchronization. This article attempts to evaluate the political reform in Central Asian countries, and reveals the overall characteristics as following:the internal demand of stability within the apparent democratization process.
