Based on surveys conducted in 2005 and 2006，the third Chinese city women’s life quality survey was conducted in 20 big and mid-sized cities with 2346 valid questionnaires returned. The survey is divided into six parts：comprehensive appraisal of life quality，health status，consumption and asset management，living environment，job experience，and social participation. On the whole，those interviewed are quite satisfied with their own life status and their attitude toward life is positive. Women’s life in the past five years have improved somewhat and they believe their life will be better in the coming five years. City women show increasing concern about environmental protection and get more involved in it now. City women are happy with their jobs slightly but they find working pressure is on the rise. Two factors affect their job satisfaction：working stress and low income. The survey also tried to set up a comprehensive index system to evaluate city women’s life quality.
