Experienced a history over 60 years，the pharmaceutical industry in China has ensured our good economic construction and national prosperity. As an essential part of reforming of Chinese healthcare system，pharmaceutical industry plays a very important role in making the success of new reform of Chinese healthcare system in 2009. Based on the explanation about Chinese pharmaceutical industry in the past，present and future，the author analyzed some main prominent problems of pharmaceutical industry，including “many，small，scattered，and low” situations related to industrial structure，imperfect industrial policy，weak innovation capability，the low ability of international competition and so on. Basing on the above mentioned，the author advanced some basic ideals and approaches of pharmaceutical industry developing according to new healthcare reforming，such as creating the good developing environment，implementing the centralized bidding in drug purchasing，improving the industrial structure and increasing the concentration degree of pharmaceutical industry.
