The year of 2011 is a significant one for Cuba in its socialist construction. The objective of the reform is to establish a more efficient and fruitful political and economic system. The Sixth Congress of Communist Party approved the Guidelines which was oriented towards economic reform. The resolution of the Conference provided a political and organizational guarantee for the implementation of the Guidelines. A variety of unfavorable domestic and international factors meant that it was a challenge for Cuba to well control its political and economic reforms. Cuba experienced a year with stable political situation and a slow but gradual economic growth in 2011. <<
