This paper introduces the history and background of environmental public interest litigation，demonstrates the present situation，difficulties and challenges of environmental public interest litigation in China with typical study case analysis and forecasts the prospect of environmental interest litigation. The paper indicates that as a legal system，environmental public interest litigation’s operation involves many factors such as systems themselves and their supporting systems.
