In the past few years，recovery of overdue drugs in households was organized in many forms and in many regions in China，attracting the attention of the government and the society. Through the field investigation in the sample regions selected nationwide，searching in the legal documents and literatures，inquiring experts’ opinions and other methods，the article is intended to analyze the present situation and problems in treatment of discarded drugs in families，discuss the applicability of existing laws and regulations，and provide suggestions on the policies for administration of discarded drugs by families.
