Since the promulgation of the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on the Disclosure of Government Information in April 2007，governments at various levels and the various departments under them have established a relatively complete system of disclosure of government information，designated specific departments responsible for the disclosure，actively improve the forms of disclosure，introduced the systems of spokespersons and press conferences，constructed and improved government websites，increased the scope of circulation of government gazettes，and promoted the disclosure of government information by establishing facilities for the access to government in public libraries，archives and administrative service centers.Meanwhile，some problems have been exposed in the implementation of the Regulations，such as difficulties in application for the disclosure and in the related litigation.Therefore，the future tasks in this field may include designating special institution to be in charge of disclosure of government information，amending the Law on Safeguarding State Secrets and the Law on Archives to clarify the scope of the government information excluded from disclosure and abolish the additional conditions for the applicants of disclosure，adopting measures for the disclosure of information of public enterprises and institutions，and issuing judicial interpretation on litigation relating to the disclosure of government information.
