The current penal enforcement system can no longer meet the requirements of the new situation and therefore needs be reformed. As a result，the organs in charge of penal enforcement have taken reform measures that focus on experimental reform of the prison system，adjustment of the prison layout，community correction，and the criminal policy of tempering justice with mercy. This report introduces the great achievements in the reform of the prison system，the remarkable results of the adjustment of the prison layout and the smooth progress of community correction work，and explores the prospect of future development of the penal enforcement system in China.
