Art law and related research in China has developed until recent years. At present，the system of Chinese art law has been basically established，including the protection of copyrights，the right and freedom of expression of artists，the auction of art works，sales of art works and museums. The related studies are making progress with many academic achievements. Especially in recent three years，Chinese art law legislation and research have made some progress in enlarging the scope of legislation，content，research methods and the research fields. However，there are still certain problems which need to take effective steps to improve.
