Taking the cases of malfeasance directly investigated by procuratorates as its subject of study，this article analyzes the development of legislation on the crime of malfeasance between 1979 and 2010，summarizes the judicial practice relating to the punishment and prevention of the crime in recent years，explores the characteristics and trend of development of the crime at the present time，and puts forward recommendations on improving the relevant legislation and judicial practice in the future.
