In the year 2007，the National People’s Congress and its Standing Committee formulated 9 pieces of laws，amended 10 pieces of laws，adopted 7 decisions；and the State Council has formulated and amended 30 administrative regulations.The legal system of the socialist market economy has been improved by formulating and adopting such laws and administrative regulations as the Property Law，the Anti-monopoly Law，the Enterprise Income Tax Law and the Administration of Commercial Franchise Regulations.The adoption of a series of laws and administrative regulations in the field of society such as the Labour Contract Law，the Employment Promotion Law，the Labour Dispute Conciliation and Arbitration Law，the Disabled Persons Regulations has provided strong legal support for building a socialist harmonious society.In accordance with the requirement of promoting the government of the country according to law and building a socialist country under the rule of law，the Civil Procedure Law，the Administrative Reconsideration Implementing Rules，the Regulation on Administrative Sanctions of the Public Servants，the Regulation on Publishing Government Information and other laws and administrative regulations have been formulated or amended for regulating the government’s authority and protecting the citizens’ rights.In addition，much more attentions have been put on the democratic and scientific legislation，and the deputies have played more and more important roles in the legislation.
