In 2007，the People’s Court made comprehensive progress in trial，implementation and contingent，put forward judicial reform steadily，established the guiding ideology for the people，and continuously improved convenient judicial measures.Grassroots infrastructure and judicial capacity was strengthened，while material and technical equipments were significantly improved.In this year，judicial reforms in the court system were mainly as follows：Firstly，improving the death penalty approval system，and deepening the reform of criminal justice system；secondly，improving the civil retrial and implementation system around emendation of the “Code of Civil Procedure”，thirdly，furthering the practice of open trials；Fourthly，reforming and improving the system of judges.
