This chapter reviews the 30 years of development in China’s reform and opening-up from the perspectives of the domestic political and economic environment and of the changes of foreign trade policy and regulation system. Then it summarizes the inspiring achievements in every area of foreign trade in terms of the scale of China’s foreign trade，the structure change of foreign trade，and its role and status in national economy. The valuable experience accumulated in the 30 years is concluded as well. In the end，the author’s strategic reflection concerning promoting the development of China’s open economy is expounded.
