Dominica enjoyed basic political stability in 2009，but people’s livelihood，remuneration and disputes around constitutional reform constitute potential disturbing factors to the country’s stability. The ruling party’s popularity fell while the opposition was getting more support. Economic growth slowed down，and power industry reform made progress. Social scene reported no major improvement and relations with other countries and regions remained basically unchanged.
