Terrorist attacks within China showed the following characteristics in 2013：Religious extremism and terrorism thoughts impacted widely；Assault weapons were local materials；Police bureau became key target of terrorist attacks；Police bureau rarely got early warning intelligence；Ability to handle emergencies increased significantly；Terrorist attacks spread to areas outside Xinjiang. As a leading sector in the fight against terrorism，police bureau should build scientific prevention system to gather relevant intelligence from the start，and strengthen early warning，in order to win the battle against terrorism.
