The paper summarizes the developments of the financial laws and re-gulations in the Securities Investment Funds industry in the past 17 years.Since 1991，some local legislations facilitated the securities investment funds and the unified legislation was completed in 1997.In 2003 the Securities Investment Fund Law was promulgated，and its supporting regulations were basically completed.Thereafter the relevant legislations were more solid and mature and the supervision was gradually enhanced.
