In recent years，with environment pollution and mass incident happening frequently，environmental problem has become an important social issue. In this paper，we analyzed 401 core papers from 1998 to 2012，which related to studies on the environmental problems and found that：majority number of author is one，with environmental science and economics background. In addition，related papers were mainly published in the journals of environmental and economic. Research topics cover environmental pollution and ecological management，economic development and environmental protection，environmental issues of epistemology，environmental risk and mass incidents，etc.
