The General Report summarizes in the beginning the current situation of the world energy development with reviewing production，consumption and trade circumstances of oil，natural gas，coal，nuclear，hydro，renewable energy and so on. In the second part，the report deeply analyzes the recent main trends in the world energy market，especially since the year of 2013，and also tries to reveal the influential factors behind these trends. With the detailed analysis，the Report tries eventually to conclude and foretell the new challenges to the world energy security，and provides some new advice to the construction of the world energy security system.
