In this paper,we designed a new comprehensive evaluation index system for Guangzhou based on the people's livelihood,competitive force and ecological civilization.The new urbanization indexes are calculated since 2006 in Guangzhou,Beijing,Shanghai,Tianjin,Chongqing and Shenzhen based on the method of entropy.The results show that the ranking of Guangzhou's new urbanization level in the six cities is fourth,and the increment speed is lower than average.The driving forces of new urbanization in Guangzhou come from the social service subsystems and urban ecological subsystems.The urban innovation subsystem is the worst performance in the six driving subsystems.Guangzhou should carry out different competitive strategy in the six driving subsystems in order to catch up with Beijing and Shanghai. <<
