The center-right coalition of the Reform Party and the Pro Patria-Res Publica Union still dominate the political arena in Estonia and it is difficult for the main opposition parties to challenge its ruling position. Due to the falling domestic demand，the Estonian economy slowed down in 2013. The budget deficit in Estonia has been reduced and its public debt was at a low level. Estonia and the United States strengthened cooperation in the field of cyber security. Estonia fully supports the idea of strengthening defense cooperation within the EU. After Estonia reached the border treaty，the bilateral relations have been improved.
