In November 2013，Latvia’s prime minister Valdis Dombrovskis resigned over the supermarket roof collapse in Riga. A new government led by prime minister Laimdota Straujuma was formed in January 2014. It is expected that the new government will maintain policy continuity. Latvia’s economic growth in 2013 slowed down compared with that in the previous year. Latvia joined the eurozone on January 1^st 2014. Latvia-Russia relations have been improved，but Latvia’s wariness towards Russia has not disappeared.
