Firstly this paper analyzes the present situation of the issues on Guangzhou urban-rural area. Then we deeply discuss the main problems in Guangzhou urban-rural area development，which include developing planning，industrial development，population integration，community construction and social service. In the end we propose the following pieces of advice：emphasizing the guiding function of modern urbanization idea to holistically design urban and rural development；reforming and innovating the system of urban and rural management to implement integrated leading；modulating industrial structure to propel various stages of development classified by levels and categories；establishing the integrated mode of urban and rural resources distribution；strengthening the supporting force from policy to encourage rural area self-develop；reinforcing education and training.
