The demand of urban short-distance passenger transport increases rapidly is the background from which the necessity of bus-oriented modification of short-distance transport comes. This paper starts with the background introduction，and then gives the statistics of modified and modifying short-distance bus lines in present Guangzhou，and then through the comparative analysis of functional situation before and after modification，raises the problems of present mode，and in the end proposes recent and forward development suggestion from the perspective of both government and enterprise.
