The South Pacific Islands have special geographic political advantages and abundant natural resources. These countries gradually become the object of concern of the world. In 2013，the islands political democratization kept moving forward，but the distrustful movement to the government has negative effects to the political stability and social order. In the aspect of economy，the islands kept carrying out loose monetary policies in order to stimulate economic development，but the decrease of the foreign aid has increased fiscal deficit. Besides，in democracy，the South Pacific Islands positively developed bilateral diplomatic relationship with Australia，New Zealand，America，China，Japan and so on. They pay attention to making the South Pacific Islands Forum play an important role，strengthen the coordination of diplomatic policies in the fields of politics and security and the regional cooperation and join the multilateral institutions，which greatly improves the South Pacific Islands’ influence in international community. This report elaborates the politics，economy and diplomacy of the South Pacific Islands in 2013，mainly including Fiji，Tonga，Vanuatu，Papua New Guinea and Samoa that have built up diplomatic relationship with China，in order to improve the public awareness to the South Pacific Islands and provide some reference for our country to develop relationship with the South Pacific Islands in the future.
