Maintaining and guaranteeing regional stability is one of the SCO’s basic functions，and security cooperation is an important content of the SCO’s multiple cooperation. The greatest threat to the region where the SCO is located is the three strands of force，and also thorny in Central Asia are Afgan issues，drug smuggling，transnational organized crime，water resource security，grain security，cyberspace security of a new type etc. It is of outstanding realistic significance to consolidate the SCO’s security cooperation. The mechanisms such as the 2013 Summit of SCO Member State Heads conducted discussion on consolidation of regional security cooperation，worked out measures to implement relevant documents，and launched a successful joint anti-terror game. The SCO’s security cooperation will go on in a more in-depth manner.
