The Ukrainian crisis is the most intense geopolitical contest between Russia and the West within the Commonwealth of Independent States ever since the disintegration of the former Soviet Union. This crisis is a reflection of the geopolitical competition between big powers in the CIS region，and is bound to have major impact on the power relations，and the political，economic and foreign policies of CIS countries. By looking into the new changes in external environment and internal development of Central Asia caused by the Ukrainian crisis，the author tries to explore the prospect of further strengthening of cooperation between China and Central Asian countries，and development of China-Russia cooperation in Central Asia pushed forward by the two countries from the standpoint of their Strategic partnership.
