From the aspects of definition of concept，history of development，regional distribution，development evaluation，international comparisons，existing problems，and future development directions，this article comprehensively and systematically studied the management education institutes of China. In general，they have following problems，the development speed and scale of management education institutions is still difficult to meet the demands，the courses are seperated from practices，the social acknowledgement is low，lack of excellent teachers，the Midwest are seriously lagging behind. The future development directions will be，introduction of private capital，reform of teacher system，combination of localization and internationalization，and accelerating the development of the Midwest.
