In 2013，Guangzhou faced pressure from the low recovery of global economy，made use of the function of national central city，and kept on enforcing the external-oriented strategy，expanded the scope of opening-up，strengthened international communications on economic and cultural cooperation，participated in the international divisions positively，to promote the international level of Guangzhou city. The paper states the international development foundation and the current condition of Guangzhou，evaluates its international level in 2013，analyses the existing problems，and gives prospect for 2014. The paper also puts forward the countermeasures to speed up the internationalization of Guangzhou city.
