Focused on the network accountability on commonweal organizations，this paper gives the definition of the concept，summarizes its characteristics，including the accountability subjects，objects，reasons，contents and the modes，and evaluates its effects. The article points out that network accountability has become an important and new mode of commonweal organizations accountability in China，which has many advantages that the traditional accountability lacks. Therefore，it can achieve better results and consequently have a more profound impact on the construction of commonweal organizations’ credibility. However，because of its immature development and other reasons，there are still many problems. For example，the network accountability is non-normal，non-professional，and non-institutionalized；the response of accountability objects’ is passive；the information for accountability objects is not clear；the network accountability environment is not healthy，etc. Finally，some policy suggestions are discussed.
